Bamboo Sticks for Insect Hotels
As a natural material, bamboo sticks have properties that make them ideal for wild bee nesting aids: their diameters vary greatly. Since there are over 560 species of wild bees in central Europe, all differing in size and therefore needing nesting tubes of various diameters, simply using this material in an insect hotel helps promote biodiversity.
Supporting Wild Bees
Our bamboo has an inner diameter of approx. 4–12 mm. The length of the nesting tubes is also important: some species only produce drone cells in short tubes. With a length of approx. 12.5 cm, our bamboo sticks support a balanced gender ratio in the insect hotel for bees.

Was die Wildbienen brauchen!
Die Länge der Bambusröhrchen passt super. Die Loch-Größen variieren. Die kaputten Röhrchen in meinem Insektenhotel konnte ich gut tauschen und einfach nachstecken. Die Bienen haben diese nach 3 Tagen schon angenommen. Ein paar Größen waren mir zu groß, aber sonst alles super. Sehr natürlich.
