Modular system
The modular system makes the Animal House by GARDIGO something truly special. With just one Animal House, you can support many different animals by simply changing the front panel (sold separately).
Entrance hole for small birds
The size of the entrance hole roughly determines which bird species will nest in the box. Generally, larger birds drive smaller ones out of nesting spots—provided the entrance is large enough. The 26 mm opening of this nesting box is ideal for bluetits, marsh tits, coal tits, willow tits, and crested tits. It is usually too small for great tits, the main competitor for nesting sites, and for starlings.
Setting up the nesting box
Be sure to hang up the tit nesting box in time. Blue tits typically begin nesting in mid-April and start building their nests up to 14 days earlier. The ideal orientation is facing east or southeast.
Functional design
To help the chicks climb easily to the opening, the front panel of this nesting box is made from rough-sawn wood. The bottom of the box includes drainage holes to allow fluids to escape—this is essential for maintaining a healthy nesting environment.
Easy to clean
You can easily remove the front panel by turning the knob at the bottom of the Animal House, allowing you to clean the box. Please wait until the chicks have fully fledged before doing so. Typically, blue tits only breed once per year.

Ich hatte vorher immer schon relativ viele Meisen in meinem Garten beobachten können, aber es ist schön zu beobachten, wie sie das Häuschen annehmen und benutzen.
