Inside the plastic enclosure is a snap trap, which immediately catches the mouse and avoid an accidental activation of the trap. The latch is tensioned by a lever on the back. Your fingers and your pets remain uninjured. A bait (e.g. nougat or liver sausage) can be inserted at the bottom by opening a lid. The mouse that has been killed can be removed by pressing on the tensioning lever again. The trap can be re-used.
