The Gardigo Animal House system is not simply an insect nesting aid or birdhouse: thanks to its exchangeable front panels it can be repurposed over and over again.
This set includes four different front panels: one for each season of year.
Bird feeder in winter
During winter, the gardigo animal house serves as a bird feeding house. Your feathered friends will be thankful for food, especially towards the end of winter, when natural food sources get scarce.
Nesting box for sparrows in spring
Once the bird feeding season is over, it’s already nesting season and sparrows will start to search for appropriate cavities. The birds remember the box as a a feeding place, so they will quickly find the new nesting opportunity.
Ladybird hotel in summer
Once the young birds have flown out, the animal house turns into a ladybug hotel with the flick of a wrist. These insects are beneficial in the garden, as they feed on greenflies, which are a common plant pest. In the ladybirds will find a safe and dry shelter.
Butterfly hotel in autumn
In autumn, some butterfly species will search for a sheltered spot for overwintering. You may also use this front panel in summer and lure the moths into the animal house with foodplants such as summer lilac and stinging nettle. At night and in rainy weather, a dry, sheltered place is valuable for the insects.
The animal house box has a hanger on its back and comes with a tree-friendly aluminium nail. For screwing it to a wall, there is a screw hole in its back.
The animal house is made of high quality 3-layer panel. This is important to ensure the house will not deform to allow for easy swapping of front panels.
The removable front panel makes the animal house easy to clean. Holes in the bottom allow for ventilation and draining of liquids, for a good breeding climate and dry food.
This product is made in a sheltered workshop in Germany. When buying it, you’re supporting an important social service provider.

Ein klasse Geschenk, das ganze Jahr nutzbar!
Zum Geburtstag verschenkt, bereitet es viel Freude! Man tut den Tieren nicht nur was gutes, es ist einfach spitze um die Tiere zu beobachten. Es wird so gut angenommen, das wir den Tieren den ganzen Tag zusehen könnten. Bereitet der ganzen Familie Spaß und durch die auswechselbaren Blenden wird es auch nicht langweilig!
